Samuel L. Jackson Plays Genius Villain in KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE TRAILER
January 19th, 2015
When it comes to Samuel L. Jackson’s acting resume, it seems as though he has done it all. From Snakes on A Plane to Black Snake Moan, Jackson has played a plethora of characters. While he has played the villain role in films like The Spirit, his other roles as strong protagonists seem to garner more attention. Fortunately, his role as the villain in the upcoming Kingsman: The Secret Service seems like it’ll be one of his best. Released on February 13th, Kingsman: The Secret Service is based upon the acclaimed comic book and tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius (Jackson). Directed by Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class), the film also stars Colin Firth (Love Actually), Michael Caine (Miss Congeniality), Jack Davenport (Smash), Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Mark Hamill (Star Wars: Episode IV-A New Hope), Taron Egerton (The Smoke), Sofia Boutella (StreetDance 2), Sophie Crookson (Emperor), and Tom Prior (The Theory of Everything). The trailer was recently released and this movie looks GREAT!
While there is going to be some great action and adventure, it seems like there is going to be just as much comedy in the film. Jackson seems like he’s going to pull this role off just as well as his other roles since he is just an amazing actor. Firth is just an extraordinary actor who excels in his roles with such ease. When it comes to legendary actors, Caine instantly comes to mind and even though he wasn’t shown too much in the trailer, I foresee him playing his role perfectly. Hopefully his role will be just as comedic as his roles in Austin Powers in Goldmember and Miss Congeniality. Check out the trailer to Kingsman: The Secret Service below and be sure to see the film when it hits theaters on February 13th.
